Lesbian Elders Village Auckland Inc.

The Auckland LEV group has been meeting regularly since September 2007. Monthly meetings are held at the Auckland Women's Centre every second Sunday. The group decided in November 2007 to form a regional incorporated society. The constitution was finalised in May 2008 and Lesbian Elders Village Auckland Inc. is now officially an incorporated body.

Further decisions have been made about a site plan and accomodations options as well as a tenure model drafted.

The group held several regional huis and presented itself at gay and lesbian events. The last event being the Big Gay Out in Auckland February 2009.

The current focus of the Auckland group is fundraising and the creation of a business plan. A grant has been applied for to undertake a needs assessment amongst Aucklands older Lesbian community.
