40/5 Potluck Brunch

On a beautiful late Sunday morning the inaugural 40/5 brunch was held in Grey Lynn. There were lovely things to eat and a nice group of 40/5 lesbians sitting together, chatting, bonding, reconnecting or getting to know each other. Women had been friends beforehand, had seen others somewhere, or were totally new to each other. Whatever the history was: the day was leading us to somewhere new and exciting.

What is a ‘40/5 lesbian’ you might ask? Well, we in LEV thinks it is a woman who is 40 years or older and has identified as a lesbian for at least 5 minutes ;)

So if you are a 40/5er and would like to join us on a potluck brunch to connect with likeminded women and build a community that supports its members we would like to invite you to the next brunch on Sunday, 16 May, 10.30am at Ellen and Ricky’s at 1 Fergusson Avenue in Sandringham.

LEV hikoi to the top of the world

Three LEV members followed in the footsteps of our chairwoman and secretary, when recently doing New Zealands hardest one day walk: the Tongariro Crossing. All in all, this brings the number of LEV members, who walked across the Land of Mordor up five this year alone!
