As an outcome of the winter hui we will now hold 'day to day business' meetings on the Monday 2 weeks after our regular meetings. The meetings will be held at the houses of members who volunteer to host.

Next Monday, 27 July, Ellen and Ricky would like to invite you to their house to discuss who could become LEV's patroness and what could/should happen with our web site.

Lesbian Elders Village Auckland Inc is a group who are working towards providing accommodation options for older lesbians in the Auckland region. We are committed to being accessible to lesbians across a range of ages, abilities, financial resources, care requirements and lifestyle choices. At this stage we are a Registered Incorporated Society and our application for charitable status is being processed.

Your donation will help buy the land for the village.  The land will be held communally, owned by a not-for-profit trust.  All donations will be dedicated to this purpose.

Amounts over NZ$ 20 will be receipted on request. Please click on this button and fill in your details:

Should we not buy land for the village by the end of 2011:
  • Donations of NZ$1,000 or more will be reimbursed, plus any interest accrued. Please fill in the form provided, so that we can contact you in this case.
  • Donations under NZ$ 1,000 will be used for other charitable purposes of the Society.

Since the first AGM held on 8 June 2008, Lesbian Elders Village Auckland Inc has continued with progress towards our vision of providing accommodation options for older lesbian women in the Auckland region across a range of ages, abilities, financial resources, care requirements and lifestyle choices. Monthly meetings have been held each month except January and February 2009 at the Auckland Women’s Centre, and significant milestones have been achieved during the year.

Clear directions have been identified for focus in the year ahead. They include a review of the milstones and small focus groups, financing the project, interim possibilities and promotional activities.

The full annual report of the Lesbian Elders Villag Inc. AGM is now available online. Please download it here: PDF Report.
